The Government of the Slovak Republic met today at its 170th session and negotiated under the leadership of Robert Fico, the Prime Minister.
The following minister was absent:
Viera Tomanová, Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Family
The absent minister was represented by her state secretary.
The following item was added to the Program:
The proposal for the change of the Statute of the Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic Government for the Roma Communities
Submitted by Dušan Čaplovič, Deputy Prime Minister for Knowledge-based Society, European Affairs, Human Rights and Minorities

The Government discussed and noted the information on the development of negotiations and standpoints of the Slovak Republic at individual ministerial formations of the Council of the European Union.
The Government discussed and approved the fourth national report on the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity in the Slovak Republic.
The report was submitted by Dušan Čaplovič, Deputy Prime Minister for Knowledge-based Society, European Affairs, Human Rights and Minorities and entrusted with the management of the Ministry of Environment.
The Government discussed and approved the proposal for the membership off the Slovak Republic in the EGI.eu, international scientific organization with its seat in Amsterdam, according to the Dutch legal order and with the title: European Grid Initiative - EGI.
The proposal was submitted by Ján Mikolaj, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education.
The Government discussed and approved the draft concept for the method of resolving relationships of private owners of apartment houses and lessees of apartments affected by the deregulation of apartment rental prices.
The concept was submitted by Igor Štefanov, Minister of Construction and Regional Development.
The Government discussed and approved the national program for HIV/AIDS prevention in the Slovak Republic for the period of 2009 to 2012.

The Government discussed and approved the NAIADES general program implementation in the SR.

The Government discussed and approved the proposal for the participation of the official delegation of the Slovak Republic under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Fico at the extraordinary session of the European Council in Brussels on September 17, 2009.
