Communiqué from 150th session of the SR Government from 29th April 2008

from the session of the Government of the Slovak Republic
of April 29, 2009
The Government of the Slovak Republic met today at its 150th session and negotiated under the leadership of Robert Fico, the Prime Minister.

The following ministers were absent:
Miroslav Lajčák, Minister of Foreign Affairs
Ľubomír Jahnátek, Minister of Economy

The absent ministers were represented by their state secretaries.



The following item was removed from the Program:

The report on the impacts of the financial and economic crisis on the economy of the SR and the quantification of the fiscal impulse

The Government discussed and noted the information on the development of negotiations and standpoints of the Slovak Republic at individual ministerial formations of the European Union Council.

The Government discussed and approved the report on the draft measures of the Government in the matter of the disagreement of the Ombudsman with the course of action of the National Memory Institute.
The report was submitted by Dušan Čaplovič, Deputy Prime Minister for Knowledge-based Society, European Affairs, Human Rights and Minorities.

The Government discussed and approved the proposal of the method of financing of the anti-narcotics policy for the upcoming period in compliance with the European Union strategy and the National Anti-narcotics Strategy for the Period of 2009 – 2012.
The proposal was submitted by Dušan Čaplovič, Deputy Prime Minister for Knowledge-based Society, European Affairs, Human Rights and Minorities and Chair of the Ministerial Committee for Drug Addiction and Drug Control.

The Government discussed and approved the proposal of the support system for financing the event, the European Capital of Culture – Košice 2013.
The proposal was submitted by Marek Maďarič, Minister of Culture.

The Government discussed and approved the proposal to cancel task No B. 2 of Slovak Republic Government Resolution No. 61 of January 23, 2008.
The proposal was submitted by Richard Raši, Minister of Health.

The Government discussed the Bill that changes and amends Act No. 170/2001 Coll. on Emergency Oil and Oil Product Reserves and on the Solution of the Oil Deficit in the wording of Act No 240/2006 Coll. and approved it with comments.
The Bill was submitted by Marián Čakajda, Chair of the State Material Reserves Administration of the SR.

The Government discussed and approved the draft Slovak Republic Government Order that changes and amends Slovak Republic Government Order No. 66/2007 Coll. on Port Salvage Points for Shipping Waste and Excess Cargo.
The draft was submitted by Ľubomír Vážny, Minister of Transportation, Post and Telecommunications.

The Government discussed and approved the draft Slovak Republic Government Order that changes and amends Slovak Republic Government Order No. 397/2005 Coll. as amended, through which international sanctions ensuring international peace and safety are imposed.
The draft was submitted by Miroslav Lajčák, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Government discussed the draft Slovak Republic Government Order on the Technical and Operational Navigability of Ships and approved it with comments.
The draft was submitted by Ľubomír Vážny, Minister of Transportation, Post and Telecommunications.

The Government discussed and approved the proposal to conclude the Agreement between the Slovak Republic Government and the Government of the French Republic on cooperation in the area of defense.
The proposal was submitted by Jaroslav Baška, Minister of Defense.

The Government discussed and approved the Slovakia Stability Programme for the Period of 2008 - 2012.
The programme was submitted by Ján Počiatek, Minister of Finance.

The Government discussed and approved the evaluation of the short-term fulfillment of measures in the Slovakia 21 Modernization Programme.
The evaluation was submitted by Ján Počiatek, Minister of Finance and Dušan Čaplovič, Deputy Prime Minister for Knowledge-based Society, European Affairs, Human Rights and Minorities.

The Government discussed and approved version 2.0 of the strategy for the financing of structural funds and the Cohesion Fund for the programme period 2007 – 2013.
The proposal was submitted by Ján Počiatek, Minister of Finance.

The Government discussed and approved the proposal for support of the participation of the Slovak Republic delegation at the Second International Conference on Chemical Substance Management, in Geneva, on May 11 – 15, 2009.
The proposal was submitted by Ján Chrbet, Minister of Environment.

The Government discussed and approved the proposal for the transformation of the branch office of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Belgrade with its seat in Skopje (Republic of Macedonia) and the branch office of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Athens with its seat in Tirana (Republic of Albania) into regular embassies of the Slovak Republic.

The Government discussed the draft foreign relations plan for the members of the Government, state secretaries and the chairs of the other central state administration bodies of the SR for May 2009 and approved it with comments.
